Simple, but profound message.

  1. I love the message of the video. We have to have the light of Christ in our hearts glowing to such a degree that others can see it.
The illustration of word with and through deed is profound and life giving. As Christ is poured into us, we will spill that light over into the lives of others.
As we take up our cross and become vulnerable as he did. (Vulnerable enough to be killed without protecting himself.) SO we have to believe with enough conviction that we do not act on the desire to protect ourselves from physical, social, and emotional pain and shame that comes with opening ourselves up to to transparent community. How often is the Spirit of Christ that lives within us walled up with self-protective faces we parade around with, even among the brotherhood of Christ. But those faces exist precisely because we have all been hurt by the absence of acceptance and understanding that Christ has shown us. What light could break forth from a community, even a community with a buildings or programs or bands, that made its dirt known to one another, not just past dirt but the new mud we track in every day and continually forgave and loved and gave just as our Redeemer did and is doing for us. What if there was honor among thieves like us.
